Raleigh, NC — August, 2026 — Whitley Recruiting Partners, a boutique talent advisory firm known for building high-performing GTM and operating teams for growth-stage companies, today announced that Matt May will join the firm as Managing Director for Talent Partnerships, beginning in September. The addition of Matt marks another step in Whitley’s expansion, following significant revenue growth and the addition of several marquee customers over the last 18 months.
Matt joins Whitley from MaintainX, where he served as Talent Acquisition Team Lead for Sales GTM as the company grew headcount roughly 40% in 2025 ahead of its $3.6 billion acquisition by Autodesk, which closed in August 2026. His background also includes nearly seven years in senior talent acquisition roles at Align Technology, hiring across sales, finance, marketing, IT, engineering, and several years at Lenovo running a national early-career recruiting program; a résumé that spans hypergrowth-startup and enterprise hiring in roughly equal measure. A North Carolina State University graduate based in the Raleigh-Durham area, May is also returning to his local roots. At Whitley, he will partner with clients on search execution and help both established and growth-stage companies build the GTM and operating teams that fuel their next phase of growth.
